Skiing perfection!

Last year Laurie Stephens, an individual with spina bifida, set the ski world on fire, and she has set out to prove that her rookie year as a member of the United States Disabled Ski Team was no fluke —  with an 8-0 record in World Cup giant slalom mono-skiing events.

"I was really nervous at the start of this year, worried that last year was a fluke, but things are working out pretty well. I'm a lot more relaxed now, and I guess last year wasn't a fluke after all. I didn't set any big goals for myself, but have some small ones because I think you should have goals. My main one is to keep improving; do as well if not better. Last season I surprised my coaches, but now they kind of expect me to come through.”
